Introducing the Fluke 62 MAX and 62 MAX+ IR Thermometers: Small in size. Big on toughness.
Designed with your on-the-job needs in mind, the new Fluke 62 MAX and 62 MAX+ infrared thermometers are everything you'd expect from the experts in measurement tools. Small in size, extremely accurate and very easy to use. IP54 rated for dust and water resistance. Precise yet rugged enough to take a 3-meter drop. In fact, the 62 MAX and 62 MAX+ are so tough, they're the only IR thermometers around you can handle without care.
The Fluke 62 MAX is ideal for quick temperature scans of systems to look for anything from unusual hot spots that signal electrical and electro-mechanical malfunctions to undesirable air intake/output patterns in the building envelope. Because infrared measurement does not require making contact with the surface being measured, technicians can make the measurements from a distance, away from moving machinery or live electrical connections. The 62 MAX has a distance-to-spot ratio of 10:1 and measures temperatures from 30°C to 500°C with an accuracy ± 1.5% of the reading. The 62 MAX+ has a distance-to-spot ratio of 12:1 and measures 30°C to 650°C with an accuracy ± 1.0% of the reading. Both IR thermometers operate on a single AA battery.

The Fluke 62 Max+ is an infrared thermometer, which allows users to take temperatures by simply pointing the tool and pulling the trigger.
Emissivity is the ratio of energy radiated (invisible heat) by a material to the energy radiated by a black body at the same temperature. IR thermometers recognize reflected, transmitted, and emitted heat, so the device must be adjusted to read only emitted heat in order to provide a surface temperature. A black body will have emissivity of 1 and objects will have a value between 0 and 1
The Fluke 62 Max+ is designed for emissivity ranging from 0.10 to 1.00.
The Fluke 62 Max+ is drop tested for 9.8 feet (3 meters). Like all Fluke products, this was designed with the user in mind, and made to withstand everyday use in a demanding environment.
You do not need to be standing next to the object being measured. You just point the 62 Max+ and pull the trigger.

Excellent Product
5.0
The build quality and features of this unit are exceptional. The two laser dots are really helpful for showing the area sensed during measurements. The screen is bright and clear, very easy to read in dim environments. I highly recommend this unit. It is true to the reputation of Fluke for high quality instruments.
