The ATC2, K-Type, pipe clamp thermocouple can be used to take temperature of pipes or any other cylindrical surface under 2 1/4” outside diameter. The ATC2 can greatly facilitate taking a superheat or subcooling measurement on most residential and commercial refrigeration appliances or air conditioners. The ATC2 can also take the temperature readings of pipes attached to walls and other surfaces. The ATC2 can be used with any thermometer which accepts a K-type thermocouple.

The ATC2’s clamping ability allows the user to affix the ATC2 to a pipe for an accurate, hands free measurement. The ATC2 will also stay put in virtually any pipe orientation including vertical pipes. With a 180ºF maximum temperature, the ATC2 is very versatile in its application.

Use Fieldpiece K-type thermocouples with any meter using the K-type design. You no longer need three hands to do your job.

Pipe diameter	jaw opens from 3/8” (9.925mm) to 2 1/4” (57.15mm).
Thermocouple conductors	K-type nickel chromium/ nickel aluminum, 2300ºF maximum (pipe clamp resin and insulation limits max. See probe insulation and clamp resin).
Accuracy	-50ºF to 180ºF +/- 4ºF.
Range	-50ºF (-46°C) to 180ºF (82°C) maximum continuous operation.
Probe insulation and clamp resin	while calibration and atmosphere will affect maximum useful temperature in applications, the wire insulation and clamp resin are designed to withstand a maximum continuous use at 180°F (82°C).
