The vp85 is by far the worst vacuum pump I've ever owned or seen in use. My 6 cfm CPS pulls deeper and faster than the vp85 wouldnt recommend buying it, it's a waste of money and time

What a great vacuum pump. I used the 3/8 hose and it does its job. Quite running machine that gets you where you need to be. Quick oil changes isn't the word.
