The SDP2 Dual In-Duct Psychrometer is more than just your everyday HVACR psychrometer. It offers HVACR professionals more insight into evaporator performance than any other psychrometer, by taking four evaporator measurements at one time: supply wet bulb, supply dry bulb, return wet bulb, and return dry bulb.

HVACR professionals get a live, real-time snap shot of the evaporator performance, even as conditions are changing. Based on these live, dynamic readings, the SDP2 registers system changes as they happen, and automatically calculates actual Delta-T, Target Delta-T, actual Evaporator Exit Temperature, and Target Evaporator Exit Temperature. In addition, enthalpy (BTU/LBM) and Dew Point can be displayed in real-time.

The SDP2 is a great tool to help HVACR professionals do more all by itself. But couple it with the JL2 Job Link Transmitter and Job Link App and the SMAN 4-port Digital Manifolds, and your work improves dramatically in an instant. Not only are you checking and servicing a unit based on live real-time measurements, but the wireless communication lets you be in two or more places at one time!

The Fieldpiece SDP2 operates by two probes each simultaneously measuring temperature and RH%, with one going before the evaporator (RETURN), and one after the evaporator (SUPPLY). These four measurements can be displayed or used in calculations to display the actual temperature split (delta T), the target temperature split, the actual exit evaporator temperature, or the target exit evaporator temperature (TEET), plus the difference between the actual and target. Enthalpy (BTU/ LBM) and Dew Point can also be displayed.

The TEET takes into consideration the latent heat used to condense water from the air, while a simple 20° temperature split ignores latent heat. TEET, developed by Fieldpiece, is an intuitive test allowing you to aim for a target value rather than a target difference between two values.

The 38" telescoping probe with laser etched ruling and flattened edges allows you to locate proper measurement points within a duct and ensures that your probe is properly aligned. The dual display, bright backlight, and rugged rubber boot with probe clips make sure the SDP2 is ready for any job.
