The E95 is FLIR’s most powerful, brand-new Exx-Series thermal imaging camera for applications ranging from industrial inspection and plant maintenance to home inspection, energy audits, and building envelope testing. Featuring high resolution 464 x 348 infrared, a broad temperature range covering -4°F to 2732°F (-20°C to 1500°C), and 30mK thermal sensitivity, the E95 helps users to easily quantify potential issues in any of these environments. With the camera’s improved laser-assisted auto-focus system combined with FLIR’s new range of interchangeable lenses, you can quickly and accurately pinpoint problem locations from near or far. When image capture is complete, the E95 makes it easy to report problems quickly. Take advantage of new streamlined reporting features to document your images fast. Then, use Wi-Fi to upload images straight from the camera for an even more streamlined review process.
At its core, the FLIR E95 is designed to help users see temperature. In plants and homes, the power to see hidden temperature data can save time and money by preventing shutdowns and maximizing efficiency. That’s why FLIR gave the E95 high thermal sensitivity at 30mK, meaning more subtle issues can easily be detected. The camera’s broad temperature range and high IR resolution combined with a mean you can confidently capture temperature data in almost any environment. FLIR offers interchangeable 24°, 42°, and 14° lenses for the E95. All these lenses are the same profile. New for the E95, all these lenses are also able to auto-calibrate with the E95, providing the best image quality possible.
The E95 also includes other features which improve its thermal imaging capability, like up to 4x continuous digital zoom, picture-in-picture mode, laser-assisted crisp autofocus, and 3 spotmeters and 3 box areas in live mode. FLIR has achieved superior spot-size performance on the E95, allowing for accurate temperature measurements on smaller, more distant targets. The E95 also includes FLIR’s proprietary MSX thermal fusion and UltraMax super resolution technologies.
FLIR UltraMax is a form of super resolution technology which effectively increases the resolution of IR images by up to 4 times. This is possible because for every thermal image captured by the E95, UltraMax captures 15 additional images within one second when active. UltraMax then combines the 16 total infrared images to create one image with 928 x 696 IR resolution and 50% less noise than native resolution images. This increase in pixels decreases measurement spot size and results in higher temperature accuracy.
The updated autofocus system on the E95 now includes a laser distance meter which measures the distance to your target, providing the sharpest focus possible for one-shot focus. Continuous autofocus is also included as well as traditional one-shot contrast autofocus and a manual focus mode.
The FLIR E95 has been updated and redesigned to provide greater ease of use, better ergonomics, and more intuitive operation than earlier cameras. The new 640 x 480 multi-touch display, featuring scratch-resistant DragontrailTM cover glass, is 30% larger and 25% brighter than screens in previous Exx-Series cameras. The handle and grip have also be redesigned for the E95, providing the most comfortable grip FLIR has ever made.
FLIR MSX is a form of image-blending or thermal fusion technology. This means that for ever infrared image taken, the E95 also captures a visible-light image with its built-in 5-megapixel digital camera. The infrared and visible-light images can be combined in-camera, created a “fused” thermal image with all temperature data as well as clearly-defined visible details. Brand-new for the E95, FLIR also moved the built-in digital camera closer to the thermal detector, meaning MSX-enhanced images are now sharper and clearer than ever before.

The FLIR E95 is covered under the same impressive 10-5-2 warranty FLIR includes with all its thermal cameras. This warranty provides extended 10-year coverage on the IR detector, 5 years on field-replaceable batteries, and 2 years on parts and labor. FLIR can offer this incredible warranty because it manufactures its IR detectors and other critical camera components in house. With FLIR, you can always be confident you are buying a long-lasting, high-quality piece of equipment.

I have this question too (0)
No, the old lenses did not have the auto-calibrate feature so they will not work with a new camera. The same is true with new lenses and older cameras.

By integrating a laser distance meter on the FLIR E95, you can actually see on screen how far away you from your target. More importantly, you can use the laser for the autofocus feature. This can either be a single shot auto focus or you can keep it in continuous mode. The E85 also allows you to draw a box around an area of interest on screen and it will measure the area for you.
This will allow you to set your thermal camera up, pointed at a target and then observe changes over time. You can set your interval between 10 seconds and 24 hours. At each interval it will take, and store, a thermal image of whatever the condition is. This is great for energy audits and research projects. The radiometric data is kept with each image.
The E95 has FLIR’s industry-leading coverage of 2 years of full protection, including parts and labor, 5 years on the battery and 10 years on the detector.
The FLIR E95 has a sensitivity of 30mK (<0.03°C @ 30°C). This makes it perfect for investigations that do not have very large temperature variations (water damage, pests, mold).
The FLIR E85 had three temperature scales, either -4°F to 248°F, 32°F to 1200°F and 572°F to 2732°F. This makes it perfect for heavy industrial work, but also with its low thermal sensitivity great for building work, roofs and pest infestations.
The resolution on the FLIR E95 is 464 x 348. This gives you 161,472 pixels. This can be increased through the FLIR Tools software (Free) via the UltraMax function. This will double your resolution to 928 x 696 (645,888 pixels).
You should be able to get a solid 2 – 2.5 hours of runtime on a single battery charge. The E95 comes with two batteries, so you can keep one charged while you use the other.
The FLIR E95 has 3 spotmeter measurements to show you center spot and then high and low temperature. This can be either on the full area being viewed or inside an area box that you define on screen.
