38.2 Tons Capacity, Electric Wire & Cable Cutter, 2.17", 230V
The Enerpac EWCE55E is a 38.2 tons capacity, 230V, electric wire and cable cutter with a maximum material diameter of 2.17". This fixed-head hydraulic cutter is designed to cut round metal ropes or cables. The cutter contains two blades, one fixed and one moving. The moving blade is actuated by an integral double-acting hydraulic cylinder. The double-acting design ensures positive blade return and also helps prevent jamming or sticking.
Hydraulic force is provided by an AC-powered electric motor and an internal hydraulic pump. The pump provides oil flow to the hydraulic cylinder, which advances and retracts the cylinder piston and moving blade. A hydraulic reservoir with a built-in rubber diaphragm provides a constant supply of oil to the pump, regardless of tool orientation or the amount of piston extension. A trigger-style on-off switch, mounted on the cutter grip, starts and stops the electric motor. The trigger must remain pressed during the cutting process.
