The stainless steel screen on all EMV models covers the heater element to protect you from shock hazards due to spills or flask breakage. The EMX models feature a stainless steel liner over the heating element to provide additional electrical and mechanical protection against spills and ensures easier cleaning.

Electromantle Guide
The Electrothermal series of heating mantles has been specifically designed to provide a comprehensive answer to heating fluids in round bottom flasks in the modern laboratory.
