Sauermann Battery Testing

Battery Capacity Tester

A Battery Capacity Tester is the only true way to measure a battery's ability to perform to specification. New load bank systems have been designed to not only supply the load required to discharge the battery, but new technology allows for the wireless transmittal of detailed cell information to a collection point and generation of precise reports of system performance.

Battery Impedance Tester

Battery Impedance Testers read and record Voltage, Internal Resistance, Capacitance, and Temperature of all types of batteries. Measuring of a battery cells internal resistance value and comparison to a reference value of the cell when it was new has become the newest diagnostic trend in detecting a problem with a battery cell long before it fails. Hydrogen Detector

A Hydrogen Detector is a key safety device to prevent explosions by detecting hydrogen leaks in battery systems. Hydrogen Detection systems of the past have always had to compete with other gases that could trigger false alarms or cause damage to the Hydrogen Sensing Element.  New materials and technologies have allowed a new generation of Hydrogen Detection that only detects pure H2 gas in air.  This eliminates false alarms and warnings, extends the service life of sensing elements and provides the true security that the system is monitoring for an unexpected build up in Hydrogen gas concentration.

Because the lower explosive limit for Hydrogen gas is so low, a direct way of monitoring and  providing alarm and control is needed for the safety of personnel, equipment, and buildings.  Use of a true Hydrogen Detections System is the only way to ensure that you are protected from the potential catastrophic damage of a Hydrogen Gas Explosion.

Hydrometer

Digital Hydrometers have been developed to take readings up to 5 times faster than the old bulb style manual float hydrometers used in the past tomeasure specific gravity of battery cells. With automatic temperature compensation and data storage and transfer, importing raw data into maintenance records is now easier than ever. These highly accurate Hydrometers measure the Specific Gravity of battery cells and provide the best indication of state of charge.
