The O2 sensor will typically need to be replaced after two years. The O2 sensor is always on and exposed, so it will need to be replaced more often. The CO sensor will last at least two years. However, this is driven more by usage than time. If you use it every day, it should last about two years. If you use it once a week or less frequently, you could get three or four years out of the sensor.

Yes, the sensors can be replaced in the field. You can replace one or both as you need.
