The PosiTector GLS Gloss Meter (GLS) is a hand-held electronic instrument that measures the specular reflectance and gloss of a surface. It consists of a body (Standard or Advanced) and probe.

Standard models include all of the features listed above as well as storage of 1,000 readings per probe. The advanced model on the other hand includes storage of 250,000 readings in up to 1,000 batches and sub-batches. The advanced model also features the following:

• Differential Mode automatically calculates the difference between the current reading and a stored reference value
• 2 Powerful Scan Modes for quantifying large surfaces

With three probes available there are three measurement angles to suit any application.

GLS 60 degrees - Suitable for most gloss applications, preferred angle for semi-gloss

GLS 20, 60 degrees - Suitable for high- to semi- gloss applications / Calculates Haze (Haze Index)

GLS 20, 60, 85 degrees - Suitable for high-, semi-, and matte- gloss applications / Calculates Haze (Haze Index)
