Compliance 2x10s-1.5-2 8/15 ohm 1500V 100A/ch Peak, Intrabuilding, Longitudinal

1.5kV output to perform in accordance with the requirements of GR-1089, Issue 3, Table 4-5 Intra-Building Lightning Surge. The tests require an 800V differential test and a 1500V longitudinal test; each at a required power level of 100A/ch peak into a sh ort circuit. This is a two-channel tester built in accordance with GR-1089, Issue 3, Fig. 4-2 (one 200A source with two outputs in parallel). When used to perform differential testing, the user shorts the unused channel, so 100A is available to the DUT. To use this tester for Table 4-5, Intra-Building Lightning Surge: Surge 1: Set the voltage output to 800V using the front panel knob. Connect one of the MegaPulse 8 ohm outputs to the DUT in accordance with Table 4-1 Test Condition A1 or A2. Short the other MegaPulse 8 ohm output to ground. Surge 2: Set the voltage output to 1500V using the front panel knob. Connect the 15 ohm MegaPulse outputs to the DUT in accordance with Table 4-2 Test Condition B. When the tester is used in accordance with the instructions above the outputs are in compliance with the tolerance requirement s of GR-1089 Issue 3, Appendix A.
