Transient Limiter with built-in 10 dB attenuator, 150 kHz to 30 MHz
The Transient limiters protect a spectrum analyzer input from high-level transients from the line impedance stabilization networks during EMC conducted emissions testing. It has a combined frequency range of 9 kHz -30 MHz. The built in band pass filter attenuates the out-band signals at more than 20 dB/decade.
The LIT-153A spectrum analyzer transient limiter works over the frequency range of 150 kHz to 30 MHz. It provides excellent protection against high level transients coming from the Line Impedance Stabilization Network (LISN); which, if powerful enough, could potentially damage an unprotected spectrum analyzer input. The LIT-153A has maximum input level ratings of 2 watts CW (+33 dBm), +/- 10 Vdc, and a VSWR of < 1.1:1.
Use the LIT-153 EMI for conducted emissions measurements with an LISN. The unit features N-type input and output connectors. When connected in series with the coaxial line connecting the LISN to the Spectrum Analyzer, the LIT-153A transient limiter protects the spectrum analyzer by blocking potentially harmful, short duration, high level transients from the RF port of the LISN.
