I combined these plugs with a standard polarized lamp cord to make a custom test probe that is safer and more convenient than just jamming the standard probes in the wall socket.

These are well designed and have a substantial shroud to prevent an accidental short, necessary when you are working with line voltage. The wire is bonded to the probe with a set screw using the included hex wrench.

Be aware, the set screw is pre installed and can be easy to miss.
