Airflow Capture Hood

The ABM EasyHood captures air speed values from air supply or return/exhaust vents in residential or commercial buildings, and easily converts that into an airflow (volume) reading. To accomplish this, The ABM EasyHood is used with an ABM-200 Airflow & Environment Meter (or ABM-100 Airflow Meter and ABM-100 app) and a smartphone having the latest, free, CPS Link™ app installed.

I found this video on youtube of the hood in use and I'm having similar results. I question how accurate it really is. If I cant trust it to give accurate readings than its a waste of money. Its cheap but you get what you pay for. https://youtu.be/S9oAqU3BAD8

Just the right tool

Compact and light weight. Quick and Easy to set up and use. Perfect for someone who needs to take readings but does not need a certified instrament. Small enough to keep on the truck so you have it when you need it.

interesting readings

When comparing measurements to my other hood I would have to traverse inside the duct for every measurement I want to make with this hood and create a correction factor to correct the hood reading in order to get an accurate number with this hood. At that point, I might as well just use the traverse reading and not bother using the hood.

Easy is the right name

Works just like the description says. no surprises. I used it with my ABM200 very simple. easier than the ABM200 alone. It is a bit bulky but much less than a conventional hood.The supports for the 2x2 extension don't fit in the carry bag real well. Took along time to ship but once Tequipment received it form the manufacture it can very quickly.
