Use as a general treatment for connectors, contacts, and other metal surfaces, and on non-critical metal surfaces with severe oxidation and corrosion. If the metal surface is discolored, it is severe. DeoxIT dissolves the contamination and protects the surface. For reference, DeoxIT has approximately 20% cleaning action.

Pre-treated foam swabs, 1/4 x 3/4 x 4-1/2in, provide a non-abrasive wiping action and apply 100% DeoxIT.

100% DeoxIT is used when contact and connector are easily accessible. It provides a wiping action – wipe with the grain recommended. No flushing action. The applicator is a single-use, multi-application swab. Open, use on multiple connections, then discard swab. Notes: Use when over-spray is an issue on materials. The formulation is safe on plastics. Recommend wiping off excess, leaving a thin layer. After application, if you notice a green or black discoloration (sometimes over time), this indicates it is doing its job (dissolving oxidation) and improving the connection. Wipe off and re-apply DeoxIT.
