Great addition to my glove compartment
5.0
Nice little pocket meter. Pros: nice, very responsive bargraph. The readings are accurate to /- 1 digit on DC Volts when compared to my much more expensive meters. Quite fast continuity check (latched). Easy to use, you can select very quickly what you want to measure. I don’t plan to measure mains voltages with it, but I wouldn’t hesitate to do it if needed: this meter is UL certified and surely safe to use. Cons: the bare part of the probe tip is much shorter than shown in the product picture (as in a quarter of what’s in the picture; I wish it were longer; I wish it was notched, too). The wires could be more flexible. The probes are thinner than any other probes I’ve seen. The vinyl cover and Velcro strips that secure the probes when not in use are kind of flimsy and not going to last forever (but they don’t need to: this is not the meter one would use on a daily basis). No capacitance, no frequency (but who cares on a pocket DMM). Overall, perfect for my planned use: to be kept in my glove compartment, ready to be used if needed.
