Find That Wire!

Works great for tracing that wire back to fuse box. It can be a little sensitive if there are a lot of wires in one pipe.

I have used the meter on a few occasions now. I have no doubt it would serve to locate a circuit breaker but there are much less expensive meters for this. When tracing wiring behind drywall, it did not give me the confidence to start cutting holes to look for the suspected break. The signal no doubt increased where the Romex was resting directly on the drywall and decreased when it was not, but when the signal disappeared I could then pick it up again in a different location. I feared cutting openings to find no real source of the problem. In another instance, it seemed to be either too sensitive and misreading or when adjusting the sensitivity lower then ineffective at tracing the wire I was attempting to follow.
