The Thermo-Anemometer Model 1227 is a portable, easy-to-use instrument that features an airflow sensor that is designed to accurately measure and log airflow or wind speed. The main advantage of the logger is its ability to perform a variety of recording tasks with an easy and intuitive setup from a computer using supplied DataView® software. The ergonomically designed case, large display, and intuitive function selection make this instrument the right choice for any application. The Thermo-Anemometer Model 1227 is designed for simple one-hand operation. It provides selectable measurement units to best fit your needs all on a blue luminescent backlit display.

The MAP function enables you to map the illumination for a 2-dimensional space or surface. For example, in Map mode, you can measure the illumination at specific points within a room. You can then download the recording to a computer running DataView, and display the measurements as a 2-dimensional matrix, creating a "map" of the illumination within the room.

Before mapping an area, it is good practice to create a chart identifying where to make measurements. For instance, the following illustrations are example measurement charts for a room. Each red circle represents a measurement point.
